Research Opportunities in Rural Colleges

We conducted a One day workshop on Geology for BMK Ayurveda Medical UG/PG students today. Over 100 students participated in the workshop. First half day was lecture series by Prof.A.K.Mense, Miss. Priyanka Shinde and Myself. Later in the afternoon session practical aspects were conducted at GSS College, Belgaum.

We had been to Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar, on the occasion of Prof.A.K.Mense's "Mahatma Gandhi Sadbhavana Award" function. Attended rally, Gandhiji's Punyathithi function and later we visited Mahabaleshwar.

Presented three joint papers (two papers were presented by my students) at National Seminar held at Mangalore University on 22-23 January 2013. (1) Geochemical Assessment of Estuarine Sediments along Malvan Coast, Sindhudurg District, Maharashtra, India. (2) Depositional Environment of Colva Beach, West Coast, Goa, India. (3) Evolution of Kolamb Beach, Sindhudurg, West Coast of India. I acted as Co-chaired also for one session.

Presented paper “Research Opportunities in Rural Colleges”, and also acted as Rapporteur at 2 day UGC Sponsored National Seminar “Re-accreditation and Rural Colleges” held at Rajarshi Shahu Arts and Commerce College, Rukadi, on 6th October 2012.
